Jerkhampton in Action

I'm new here. What's this all about?

The short story:

We are a collective, of sorts, of persons who have gathered for several decades at the Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance held each summer in the hamlet of Trumansburg, New York. There are musicians, mothers of children, artists, cooks, dancers and poets among us. While we will always hold a special place in our hearts for Grassroots, we decided to go our own way.  Behold! The...

A bit more:

In 2021, a small group of us fulfilled a decades-long dream of throwing our own music festival. It was a lot of hard work. But to our delight, attendees enjoyed a late-summer weekend filled with music, food, camaraderie, and memories to last a lifetime. We are improving on the already fantastic experience and are now ready to expand the guest list.

Nestled on the Robinson Family Compound, the festival site includes a main music stage inside a farm-chic barn, a secondary stage for afternoon and late-night jamming, prepared food, a pond suitable for swimming and floating, plenty of room for camping, portable bathroom facilities and perhaps most importantly, dozens of like-minded people hellbent on having a great time.

We have curated a number of entertainment options for all of our attendees. Regional and local bands will perform all weekend long, with plenty of sit-ins and jams. We have activities for kids, games for adults, a mostly-contained campfire and turkeys cooked in trash cans.

Please note that we have to keep a close eye on the number of attendees, and we ask that you keep our rag-tag can-do little festival private: please do not forward this invite to others. However, we will try to grow a bit each year, so if you have a friend who would be perfect for this scene, let us know.
